FULL TIME VETERINARIAN
Our mixed practice located on the Mid North Coast is looking for a vet to join our team of vets. We are a well-established, independently owned practice with 3 clinics located in Macksville, Nambucca and Urunga.
The key focus for our practice is to deliver both excellent veterinary care and customer service whilst looking after the well-being of our staff and encouraging a good work-life balance. This allows everyone to spend time with their family and friends and also enjoy the relaxed lifestyle that comes with living in the area. Work-life balance is extremely important to us, so we foster a work environment that encourages this balance.
We are an enthusiastic team of 13 vets that tackles a wide range of cases across all species. We take on even the most challenging cases as a team and very few cases are referred. We also support and encourage our vets to pursue their own area of interest. Our vet team is supported by 12 well trained nurses and a practice manager and we all like to have fun along the way. We are also well equipped, encourage professional development and have a very favourable roster.
Our clinics are situated in one of Australia’s most desired holiday destinations. With pristine beaches and sparkling waterways on your doorstep a daily swim, walk, surf, or kayak before or after work is the norm. And only a short drive away is the lush hinterland with world heritage national parks and rainforest. Here you can hike, camp or just spend a day swimming and relaxing by a waterfall. We are big on work-life balance and run at least a 1 in 9 rota for afterhours.
Our area is friendly and relaxed but also offers full facilities such as hospitals, schools, a university, shopping centres and an airport. Our region also boasts plentiful local fresh and clean produce which is served with pride in local restaurants, or you can buy from the farmer’s gate or local markets. Our location allows you to live a relaxed, fun and healthy lifestyle with all services available.

Our Urunga and Macksville clinics are purpose built. Our brand new Macksville clinic is very spacious and is filled with specialised equipment including a veterinary specific CT scanner. It also includes a spacious equine treatment area.

About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated veterinarian. A vet who has good communication skills, is committed to providing excellence in both veterinary care and client service, who can work collaboratively as part of a team and has a can-do attitude.
This really is a fantastic area and the veterinary practice is continually growing and expanding its services. If variety and work-life balance is the spice of life, then this practice has it covered in terms of case load and life-style. On any given day you might start with a morning surf or bike ride before being part of a mix of anything from consults to a calving, ultrasound to orthopaedic surgeries, or horse dentals to preg testing and then wind down with a beer by the river, or a game of touch footy.
