CT Imaging

Midcoast Vets are very excited about the arrival of our new CT scanner at our Macksville Clinic. This state of the art technology will open up a whole range of diagnostic and treatment options for those difficult cases including; nasal, neurological, thoracic, forelimb lameness, spinal, large dog abdomens, complex fractures and oncology presentations.

Our CT is linked to a specialist interpretation service so results/interpretation is rapid and accurate.

General practice and specialist vets can refer patients to us for CT imaging.

Email the referral form to ctsurgery@midcoastvets.com.au and a member of our staff will be in touch with you to discuss details.

What is a CT Scanner?

A CT scanner uses the same technology as an xray but obtains its images in slices so is able to reconstruct the slices into a complex 3 dimensional model of the scan area.  This provides a lot more diagnostic detail for our vets, allowing a more comprehensive interpretation of your pet's condition.
